Proceeds assist to pay for expenses associated with the various community service events and Pack events we participate in such as Hinckley’s Veteran’s Day Ceremony (we give a small gift to the veterans), maintenance to Bronger’s Park, placement of American flag grave markers for US Veterans buried in 3 of the 4 Hinckley cemeteries, flag folding demonstration at the Memorial Day Ceremony, etc. Feel free to check out our website to see the boys helping the community.
The Annual Community Garage Sale will be held Sat. 09/12/2020 from 8 am to 4 pm. We will NOT have the flea market as in prior years due to COVID-19. Our previous community sales had over 100 homes. Only homes in HINCKLEY can register for a garage sale space.
A map identifying homes participating along with brief descriptions will be sold at Hinckley Elementary (1586 Center Rd) beginning at 8 am. MAPS ARE SOLD FOR $3.00 THE DAY OF THE EVENT ONLY!!! The school is not associated with the sale or distribution of maps. This is a fundraiser for Cub Scout Pack 3520. All garage sale proceeds belong to the individual holding the sale. THE SAFETY OF OUR COMMUNITY IS VITALLY IMPORTANT, YOU MUST PROVIDE OFF ROAD PARKING FOR YOUR GARAGE SALE TO KEEP OUR ROADWAYS CLEAR AND SAFE. THE AVERAGE SPEED LIMIT IN HINCKLEY IS 45 MILES AN HOUR. THE POLICE WILL BE TICKETING CARS PARKED ON MAIN ROADS. LET'S KEEP THIS A SAFE AND FUN EVENT THAT WILL CONTINUE IN THE FUTURE!
