Become a Trained Leader

Parents are the lifeblood of our pack.  Without them, our program would be limited and our Scouts would be missing out on the fun.

It is very easy to become a Trained Leader in our pack.  ALL the required training can be taken online - so you can take the training at your own pace.
Leadership Training - BSA

Leadership changes: Many of our leaders have been working tirelessly for years now to make this a fun Pack for our kids. As their sons move on, we need new leadership! Any parent considering a leadership role, from Cub Master to Den assistant to setup/cleanup coordinator, is encouraged to volunteer. All positions are important and needed to continue our successful Cub Scout Program!
Immediate Leadership opportunities:
We are in need of adult leaders. Parents, consider stepping up and helping out! Its only a few hours a month, and a great way to spend more time with your son and help out the Scouts.

Committee Chair - Our Committee Chair's son will be moving on to Boy Scouts at the end of this year.  We need someone to take over.
Cub Master or Assistant Cub Master -  We are in need of an Assistant Cub Master.  We have a new Cub Master for this year who will be moving on the Boy Scouts in 2022.

Membership - We are in need as our current parent left us in March 2020 (her son crossed over to Boy Scouts).
Assistant Den Leaders - We are in need at all grade levels.
Secretary - We will need someone to take over.
Outdoor Activity Coordinator – We need a parent (or many) who loves the outdoors and is interested in getting BALOO certified. BALOO stands for Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation. It’s the introductory training Cub Scout leaders/adults complete before taking Cub Scouts on an overnight camping trip. The BSA requires that we have at least one BALOO-trained adult on every Cub Scout den or pack overnight outdoor event. At this time we don’t have any BALOO parents, so we can’t have any camping activities.

BALOO Training:   BALOO is an overnight training event, 6:00 pm on Friday through 9:00 pm on Saturday.  There is a training schedule for mid-October.
Coming up if any parent is interested.  This course is for any adult involved in Cub Scouts with a desire to plan and carry out an entry level outdoor experience for their Pack.  This is the first step in the BSA outdoor training program.  Each Cub Scout Pack overnight event must be under the direction of a BALOO trained adult.  Additionally, this new and improved course includes the training that all Webelos Den Leaders need to be able to plan & conduct (and survive) a Webelos Den overnight campout.  You do NOT have to be a registered leader to attend.
