Become a Trained Leader
Parents are the lifeblood of our pack. Without them, our program would be limited and our Scouts would be missing out on the fun.
It is very easy to become a Trained Leader in our pack. ALL the required training can be taken online - so you can take the training at your own pace.
Leadership changes: Many of our leaders have been working tirelessly for years now to make this a fun Pack for our boys. As their sons move on, we need new leadership! Any parent considering a leadership role, from Cub Master to Den assistant to setup/cleanup coordinator, is encouraged to volunteer. All positions are important and needed to continue our successful Cub Scout Program!
Immediate Leadership opportunities:
We are in need of adult leaders. Parents, consider stepping up and helping out! Its only a few hours a month, and a great way to spend more time with your son and help out the Scouts.
Cub Master or Assistant Cub Master - Our Cub Master, but has expressed interest in decreasing his roll so that he can focus more on his son’s den. He has acted in this role for many years and would like to train a new parent.
Membership - We are in need as our current parent will be leaving us in March 2020 (her son will be crossing over to Boy Scouts). If anyone would like to start assisting her and learning from her before she departs, I’m sure she’d love to start passing on her knowledge and training a new parent.
Assistant Den Leaders - We are in need at all grade levels.
Treasurer & Secretary - We will need someone to take over in March 2020. Both parents have children who will be leaving us (5th graders) next year.
Outdoor Activity Coordinator – We need a parent (or many) who loves the outdoors and is interested in getting BALOO certified. BALOO stands for Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation. It’s the introductory training Cub Scout leaders/adults complete before taking Cub Scouts on an overnight camping trip. The BSA requires that we have at least one BALOO-trained adult on every Cub Scout den or pack overnight outdoor event. At this time we don’t have any BALOO parents, so we can’t have any camping activities.
